Terms of Service

1. The Service and our role

Achados.cv provides an online platform where users can publish and browse classified advertisements. We are an intermediary: we facilitate contact between buyers and sellers (or service providers). Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing, we are not a party to transactions between users. We do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety, legality, or delivery of items or services offered by users. You are responsible for your own dealings with other users.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country (typically 16 or older) and able to form a binding contract.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date (including contact details required to publish ads, where applicable).
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your password and devices.
• We may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

3. Listings and user content

• You retain ownership of content you submit (text, photos, etc.). You grant Achados.cv a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service (including showing your ads to other users and search engines).
• You represent that you have the right to post your content and that it does not infringe third-party rights (including copyright, trademark, or privacy).
• Listings must be truthful, placed in appropriate categories, and comply with applicable laws.
• We may remove or restrict listings or content at our discretion (for example if they violate these Terms, appear fraudulent, illegal, or harmful, or if we receive a valid legal notice).

4. Prohibited conduct and items

You must not use the Service to:

• Post false, misleading, or deceptive ads; engage in fraud, phishing, or scams.
• Sell or promote illegal goods or services, stolen property, counterfeits, or items that require a licence you do not hold.
• Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate unlawfully against others.
• Collect user data without consent, send spam, or distribute malware.
• Circumvent technical limits, scrape the Service in bulk without permission, or overload our systems.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights of third parties.

Specific categories (weapons, drugs, adult services where prohibited, etc.) may be banned or restricted by law or by our policies. We may update prohibited categories on the site from time to time.

5. Sign in with Google and third-party services

If you use Google or other third-party sign-in, your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies (for Google: Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy). Achados.cv is not responsible for third-party services.

6. Fees

Unless we notify you otherwise on the site or at checkout, basic posting and browsing may be free. We may introduce paid features, promotions, or subscriptions; fees and billing terms will be shown before you commit. Taxes may apply where required by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Achados.cv name, logo, design, and software (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or misuse them without permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that listings are accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Achados.cv and its operators, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or dealings with other users. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) one hundred euros (€100), if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Achados.cv from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your listings, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or risk to the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. liability limits, indemnity) will survive termination.

12. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (e.g. on the site or by email). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you must stop using the Service.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cabo Verde, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Cabo Verde shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where they cannot be waived.
